My Fellow Brothers and Sisters:

The 4th of July celebration at the Lodge turned out to be a success with great food, wonderful decorations and a lot of fun. Thanks to all that helped, especially Julene Rury, Janet Fernandez, Howard Rothenbach, Sheila Lindsey, and Woody Bixby.

First Lady Julene Rury and I attended the Grand Lodge Convention in Phoenix, Arizona. I plan to report on what happened at a Wednesday night meeting in August.

The planning for the Chili Cook Off on August 27, 2011 is moving along. Janet Fernandez, Event Chairman, is doing a good job in getting it organized. If you would like to help out see Janet. Your assistance will be appreciated.

This Lodge building is ten years old on July 13, 2011. The celebration of this historic occurrence will take place Sunday, July 31, 2011 with a BBQ-Potluck, Purple Pig fund raiser and Karaoke. Come on down and bring your friends.

We also having another Karaoke happening August 21, 2011.

Another Buddy Night is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31st the fifth Wednesday of the month. The last Buddy Night brought in a least one new member. Let's make this next Buddy Night even better. Remember bring a friend, an eligible non-elk, for a free dinner.

The Lodge Picnic is still on the drawing board for September 10, 2011. See Howard Rothenbach, Event Chairman, if you wish to help out.

Labor Day BBQ and Potluck is also planned for September 5, 2011
I welcome Ken Pajan, Lecturing Knight, for stepping in and taking over the duties of our departed brother Richard Phipps PER. These duties include Funeral Services Chairman, Elks Memorial Day Services Chairman, and Flag Retirement Chairman. Thank you Ken.

Cheryl Richards is now our new Inner Guard. I know she will be a valuable addition to the officer team.
